Brandon Forbes and Errol Mundle-Smith were on the scoresheet as Norwich City Under-21s were 2-1 winners away to Reading in Premier League 2.
Reading had the game's first chance as Jay Senga latched onto a loose pass and fired over Caleb Ansen's goal.
Norwich would be the side to take the lead, however. Finley Welch brought the ball down well from Ansen's kick and found Brandon Forbes, who fired in brilliantly to score his first goal for the club since his arrival from Dundee United.
It could've been two a few minutes later, as Forbes turned provider to set up Errol Mundle-Smith. The striker jinked beyond a marker but his effort was well saved by Matty Rowley in the Reading goal.
Jeremiah Okine-Peters was closest for Reading in the first half, forcing Ansen into a smart stop at his near post.
And the Royals would equalise eight minutes into the second half. A corner eventually fell to the Reading player and he fired beyond Ansen for the leveller.
But Norwich would only be level for five minutes. The Canaries regained the lead after Mundle-Smith finished at the near post from a cross into the box from Bridge.
Reading had chances to equalise, seeing Joe Barough's volleyed effort blocked well by Jon Tomkinson, before Billy Gee got in front of another shot.
Harmony Okwumo flashed a ball across goal which just evaded both Mundle-Smith and Dan Ogwuru from tapping in for a third.
Norwich would hold on for all three points in Berkshire, returning to winning ways in the PL2.
The Under-21s are back in action on Thursday, October 17, as they host Bristol City at the Avant Training Centre in the Premier League Cup.
