Norwich City Under-21s ended their PL2 Division 2 season with a defeat, losing 5-2 against Southampton at Carrow Road.
Alan Neilson made two changes from Monday's defeat away at Newcastle United, as Christos Tzolis and Jon Rowe came in for Finley Welch and Ken Aboh.
Southampton opened the scoring after only two minutes, as Dominic Ballard found the bottom corner.
The Saints added a second goal a few minutes later, as Kamari Doyle doubled the lead after only five minutes.
Norwich did register chances in the first half, as they went in search of a way back into the game. Harry Brooke, Rowe, and Tzolis would all come close.
But Southampton would add a third before the break, as Sam Amo-Ameyaw curled his effort beyond Joe Rose.
Three minutes into the second half, the Canaries would pull a goal back. Brad Hills rose highest from Joe Duffy's free-kick to score.
Only moments later, Southampton restored their three goal lead. Doyle's free-kick nestled into the bottom corner, giving Rose no chance.
Substitute Ken Aboh scored Norwich's second of the game, as he headed in from a free-kick.
The away side added a fifth goal late on, as Amo-Ameyaw added his second.
