Academy kitchen assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the academy kitchen at Norwich City in the role of kitchen assistant.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Wash-up kitchen crockery and chef items as required in the kitchen.
- General kitchen cleaning duties and completion of kitchen cleaning logs.
- Regular maintenance and cleaning of the drinks service areas.
- Adhere to Avant Training Center waste management procedures to improve sustainability within Norwich City Football Club.
- Comply with food hygiene regulations and health and safety regulations.
- To be immaculately presented at all times, taking pride in your appearance and that of your team as ambassadors for the club.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness within the kitchen to maintain an exemplary food hygiene ratings.
- Stock rotation and management of daily deliveries, ensuring everything has been delivered in the correct temperature and conditions.
- Maintenance and stock control of coffee machine in the academy building.
- Assist with maintaining and recording all aspects of food hygiene to meet.
- Health and safety legislation/requirements and the club’s food management systems.
- To promote safer working practice and maintain a culture whereby safeguarding is recognised as a shared responsibility.
Grounds supervisor
This is an excellent role for someone who is passionate about delivering top-quality playing surfaces, confident in operating and maintaining grounds equipment and motivated to lead by example within a professional sports environment.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain high-quality first team and academy pitches across indoor and outdoor facilities.
- Support the head of grounds and lead the team when required, ensuring daily tasks align with departmental standards and vision.
- Operate a wide range of grounds-maintenance machinery safely, providing guidance to staff and carrying out routine pre-start checks.
- Undertake equipment maintenance, keeping all machinery in excellent condition, and ensuring accurate stock and record-keeping for materials and assets.
- Assist in the delivery of end-of-season maintenance programmes.
- Maintain goals, nets, ball-stop netting, and landscaped areas across all club sites, including mowing, strimming, hedge trimming, planting, and general grounds upkeep.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum two or three years in the sports turf industry.
- Achieved a NVQ Level 2/3 in sports turf or equivalent.
- Achieved PA1, PA6 and 2A spraying certification.
- Achieved IOSH Qualified would be beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of modern turf technology and machinery, including equipment set-up and maintenance protocols.
- Good understanding of turf products and the ability to support the delivery of a high-quality turf nutrition programme.
- Good knowledge of SGL lighting equipment and ability to maintain the equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to show leadership potential, preferably with line manager experience.

Casual Scotland academy scout
This is an excellent role for someone who is self-motivated, and a team player with a passion for identifying young talent.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify players between the ages of Under-15 to Under-18
- Comprehensive player reports
- Assist with scouting and recruitment coverage
- Build industry knowledge across local football
The following criteria are essential:
- Knowledge of local football
- Experience or a background in scouting
- Self-motivated and committed
- A strategic planner, organiser and co-ordinator
- Confident with the ability to work individually and as part of a successful team
- A ‘people person’ with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literate
- Scottish FA Scouting Certificate
