Matchday and events safety steward
An exciting opportunity has arisen for proactive, customer focused candidates to join the operations team on home matchdays and events at Norwich City in the role of matchday and events safety steward.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- To promote safer working practice and maintain a culture whereby safeguarding is recognised as a shared responsibility
- Provide outstanding customer service as a representative of the club
- Give accurate and helpful venue information, being knowledgeable about your area of work
- Investigate and report crowd problems and assist with crowd management processes
- Carry out pre-event checks and attend briefings
- Promote a high level of guest integration and service
- Monitor and direct crowds and queue management (which may include issuing verbal instructions confidently)
- Checking tickets and welcoming visitors
- Enforce stadium regulations
- Respond to incidents (may be needed to write follow-up report as required)
- Hold static positions to ensure safety of supporters and staff
- Maintain a clean, productive and safe working area
- Must be able to achieve NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety within 12 months of accepting position (provided by the club)
Matchday vendor
Norwich City are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic individuals to sell our matchday programmes and lottery tickets at locations in and around the Carrow Road stadium on matchdays.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sales of the matchday programme
- Sales of the matchday lottery
- Handing out of promotional material
