First team performance analyst

The successful candidate will work closely with the first team coaching staff and head of performance analysis to ensure all performance analysis services within the club run efficiently for players, coaches and staff.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support and assist the set piece coach with all aspects of set play analysis and execution.
  • Support the capture, analysis and sharing of the training analysis programme.
  • Be proactive in the support of the opposition analysis process.
  • Provide analytical and technical support of first team match days (both home and away).
  • Maintain and organise required reference / performance databases.
  • Liaise and collaborate with other departments to continually develop and integrate our working processes.
  • Assist in writing and continually updating the department’s standard operating procedures (SOP) documents.   
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet the football clubs changing priorities.     

Essential:

  • MSc Degree in a Performance Analysis-related subject.
  • Minimum of two years working in elite football.
  • UEFA C Coaching License.
  • Knowledge and expertise of industry standard performance analysis software’s, specifically Hudl Sportscode & Studio and Catapult Matchtracker.

Skilled groundsperson

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the grounds team at Norwich City in the role of skilled groundsperson. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and preparation of all surfaces for first team and academy matches.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all first team and academy pitches are maintained and ready to use as required, both indoor and outdoor
  • Assist the head of grounds to deliver an end of season maintenance programme
  • Ensure all routine pre-start checks are conducted on machinery before use and report any failures/faults
  • Use a wide range of machinery and develop knowledge and skills to assist with all breakdowns, setting up all cylinder and rotary mowers
  • Maintain all size goals and nets, ball-stop netting and report any defects
  • Maintain landscaped areas at all Club sites using pedestrian mowers, strimmers, hedge trimming, hand-tools, weeding beds, blowing all leaves/stones and playing or replacing trees and shrubs

Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum two to three years in the sports turf industry.
  • Achieved a NVQ Level 2/3 in sports turf or equivalent.
  • Achieved PA1, PA6 and 2A spraying certification.Good knowledge of the latest turf technology and machinery, including set up of equipment and excellent maintenance protocols.Good knowledge of industry turf products, understanding of producing a turf feed program and execution of program to a high standard as directed by the head of grounds.
  • Good knowledge of SGL lighting equipment and ability to maintain the equipment.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Ability to show leadership potential, preferably with line manager experience.
  • Good use of email, excel, word and power point.
