Casual South London Grassroots Scout

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the academy recruitment department at Norwich City in the role of casual grassroots scout in south London for players aged Under-13 to Under-16 years.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one years scouting experience.

The following criteria are essential:

  • Attending local fixtures on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Reporting on players involved to help identify players for Norwich City
  • Knowledge of local football
  • Experience or a background in scouting
  • Self-motivated and committed
  • A strategic planner, organiser and co-ordinator
  • Confident with the ability to work individually and as part of a successful team
  • A ‘people person’ with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Full driving licence
  • Attend CPD events offered by Norwich City to support your role development

Norwich City are looking to recruit a scout on a casual basis to identify and recruit talented academy footballers that have the potential to sign for the academy.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one years scouting experience and know the following leagues:

  • Eastern Junior Alliance
  • Ipswich and Suffolk Youth League
  • Suffolk Youth League
  • Colchester and District Youth League

The following criteria are essential:

PDP Physical Performance Coach

This is an excellent role for an ambitious and driven individual who is passionate about the physical development of youth athletes.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To deliver physical performance support to the Under-21s squad and support throughout the professional development and youth development phases
  • Assist in the implementation of the club's strength and power development strategy across all academy squads
  • Assist in writing and continually updating the department’s academy physical performance plan
  • Execute additional tasks as required to meet the football club’s changing priorities

Academy Performance Analyst

Two exciting opportunities have arisen for dynamic and highly motivated candidates to join the expanding academy performance analysis department at Norwich City. The two roles will be academy performance analyst roles within our professional development phase with the Under-18s and youth development phase with our Under-9s to Under-16s.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the implementation of performance analysis support services across the academy including an opposition analysis framework, live match analysis and post-match debriefing at team and individual level
  • Provide analytical and technical support on match days (both home and away)
  • Drive consistency across all Performance Analysis working practices and support club alignment, promoting collaboration
  • Work closely with the MDT to assist on individual development plans (IDPs)
  • Assist in the storing of longitudinal video examples and data insights which can be readily available when requested
  • Assist in writing and continually updating the department’s standard operating procedures (SOP) documents.
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet the football club’s changing priorities
