An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the special events team at Norwich City Football Club in the role of catering events assistant. This is an excellent role for someone who has excellent communication and customer service skills including a great telephone manner and wants to further their experience in catering and events.
Purpose: To support and assist the catering events office and restaurant’s teams through the administration of bookings and events. Main duties will include assisting the special events side of the department with Christmas bookings.
This role is under a fixed term contract. Due to start September 2022 and end January 2023.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer incoming phone, web, and email enquiries in a timely manner and to Delia’s Canary Catering standards in relation to all Conference, Meetings and Events, and special event enquiries.
- Act as liaison between catering events team and other departments within the club, ensuring all event collateral is collated, printed, and handed over to the appropriate teams accurately and punctually and ensure all event function sheets are precise, always detailed and up to date.
- Ensure all administration requirements related to special events are completed in the timescales set.
- These include:
- Printing; table plans, room plans, table numbers
- Collating dietary requirements, final numbers, wine pre-orders
- Ensure DCC Terms & Conditions, deposit procedures and payments are adhered to by all clients through the booking of special events.
- Assist with the sales process of Christmas and taking special events and Christmas bookings.
- Assist with bookings for Delia’s Restaurant & Bar (including Dine and Stay and Restaurant Experience Vouchers)
- Hosting of Christmas parties throughout December.
