An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic candidate to join the back of house catering department at Norwich City in the role of Commis Chef.
This is an excellent role for someone who has experience of working in a high quality catering business with aspirations of progressing in the industry.
The purpose of the role is to work in the busy carvery kitchen on matchdays and work within the wider team to support the conference and events side of the business. There will also be some scope to work in our restaurants also so opportunity to gain experience in all areas of working in a kitchen.
Hours of work will be 40 a week, any five days out of seven as agreed, including matchdays. The position will involve working at weekends, evenings, and some bank holidays, so you must be able to work unsociable hours.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and serve food items working to recipes pre-set by head chefs.
- Work on matchdays as a key member of the kitchen team, taking responsibility for an element of service.
- Work within a pre-determined format to keep waste to a minimum as far as possible.
- Assist with maintaining and recording all aspects of Food Hygiene to meet Health and Safety Legislation / Requirements and the Club’s Food Management System.
- To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment
