Location: Carrow Road, Norwich, NR1 1JE
Contract and hours: 18-month fixed term contract, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive
Salary: £10,400 per annum, plus company benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the finance team at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Finance Apprentice. We are looking for someone who is proactive and motivated, and in turn we can offer a varied and fulfilling opportunity to work at a Premier League football club alongside the completion of a Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship.
The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting across a variety of areas within the finance function, including but not limited to; purchase ledger, sales ledger, reporting, payroll and treasury.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable inboxes
- Assisting with, raising and processing invoices onto Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Exporting coding of bank statements
- Sending monthly statements
- Processing box office transactions
- Auditing expenses claims
- Preparation and submission of data for ASHE forms and National Statistics
A typical day in the role would involve manging the Accounts Payable inbox, ensuring all invoices are processed and sent out as queries if necessary, exporting the bank statements and assisting with processing payments, analysis work for the KPI’s, contacting season ticket holders regarding their direct debit instalments and preparing the car park sheets. However, every day would be different, giving the successful applicant a great range of experience and mentoring from other team members.
The selected course for this role is Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship with City College Norwich. This will involve 20% off-the-job training for the completion of the apprenticeship standard. The position offers an excellent work-life balance, as well as continued opportunities for a variety of exposure in all areas across the finance department and wider club.
