An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the Scouting and Recruitment Team at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Head of Technical Scouting.

Reporting to the Head of Recruitment, the Head of Technical Scouting will be responsible for leading the Technical Scouting team and driving the application of modern scouting methods in collaboration with the Positional Scouts and Player Insights team to support the player identification and assessment process. **Key Tasks/Responsibilities** - Manage the Technical Scouting team, strategy and processes to drive evidenced based practice - Plan and implement processes to ensure effective player identification, reporting and assessment - Conduct extensive video scouting and analysis to support the player identification and assessment process - Generate scouting reports on potential target players - Facilitate the creation of detailed player videos, dossiers and presentations - Collaborate with the Player Insights team on the development and application of data analytics - Oversee the collation, management and co-ordination of scouting information and market intelligence - Work in collaboration with the Positional Scouts to ensure efficient market coverage - Innovate and continually improve the methodology of player identification and assessment processes - Ensure effective communication and collaboration exists across multiple disciplines to drive innovation and growth - To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment **Knowledge & Experience** - Extensive experience working within professional football in a Technical Scouting role or similar - Broad knowledge of domestic and international markets - Demonstrable Tactical/Technical football knowledge and understanding - Completed or working towards FA Level 3 Talent Identification qualification is desirable - Experience of leading and managing successful teams **Technical Skills** - Proficient in the use of industry leading video analysis tools such as Wyscout, Catapult Matchtracker/Focus and CoachPaint - Video Editing and Presentation skills Experience of applying data to support the player identification and assessment process **Soft Skills** - Passionate about player identification and recruitment - Proven leadership and management skills - Experience of designing and implementing successful processes - Analytical - Open minded with a willingness to do things differently - Effective communicator - Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment - Growth mindset Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to join the Canaries, [click ‘Apply’ now](https://careers.canaries.co.uk/job/428879) on to become our Head of Technical Scouting. **Closing date: Sunday, July 23, 2023** Norwich City Football Club are committed to ensuring equal opportunities are given to all and welcomes applications from all areas of the community regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, marriage and civil partnerships.
