Head of venue operations

The role will be responsible for the delivery of all venue operations, including both matchday and non-matchday events, promoting a customer service culture across all operational staff, and leading on strategic planning and fan engagement activities.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the delivery of all stadium events
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for all events, with the support of the operations coordinator and wider operations team
  • Promote a customer service culture, and oversee training for delivery staff
  • Be a designated point of contact for the Safety Advisory Group (SAG), and the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA)
  • Oversee the club’s disabled fan liaison function
  • Lead and participate in all strategic matchday planning
  • Working alongside the head of supporter engagement, lead on supporter engagement activities
  • Ensure compliance with operational legislative requirements, and that certifications are up to date and recorded appropriately
  • Identify opportunities to maximise revenue streams for the organisation, managing tenants leasing or renting office space at Carrow Road
  • Ensure all efficient controls are in place to manage departmental budgets, costs, and procurement
  • Undertake a review of all policies owned by the operations department, and work with HR to finalise them to ensure they are compliant
  • Review club-wide health and safety training, working with HR and the executive committee to fill any gaps

Technical scout

Reporting to the head of technical scouting, the technical scout will be responsible for conducting extensive video scouting, reporting, and analysis on potential target players in collaboration with the positional scouts and football analytics department to support the player identification and assessment process.   

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct extensive video scouting and analysis to support the player identification and assessment process.
  • Generate scouting reports on potential target players.
  • Manage positional scouting lists to prioritise and monitor players from senior and emerging talent markets.
  • Create and maintain video databases on potential target players.
  • Create detailed videos, dossiers and presentations on target players.
  • Collaborate with the football analytics department on the development and application of data analytics.
  • Collate, manage and co-ordinate scouting information and market intelligence.
  • Work in collaboration with the positional scouts to ensure efficient market coverage.
