Vacancy: Inclusion and Wellbeing Officer

There are hospitality packages available for Norwich City's Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, October 16.

Location: Carrow Road, Norwich. You will also be required to travel to the Lotus Training Centre and other NCFC sites.

Contract and Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus Company Benefits

The Inclusion and Wellbeing Officer will play a central role in ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities to engage with the Club and that Norwich City is ‘A Home for Everyone’.

The Inclusion and Wellbeing Officer will support the delivery of the Club’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion internal and external strategy, as well as the implementation of the Club’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Action Plan.

Areas of focus for diversity and inclusion include but are not limited to gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, social mobility, working families and age. Areas of focus for wellbeing include but are not limited to mental, physical, social and financial.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence and inspire others in order to drive action, flexing style and approach as expedient.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· To work in collaboration with colleagues across the Club and within our community to proactively promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing best practice internally and externally.

· To lead on the day-to-day management of the Club’s submission for the Premier League’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard, working to achieve and maintain each level of the PLEDIS. This will be undertaken with guidance and support from the Business and Project Director, Head of HR (E, D & I) and Head of Engagement & Delivery (wellbeing).

· To uphold the Club’s commitment to being an equal opportunities employer.

· To manage the Club’s Mental Health & Wellbeing Group, including the launch of Wellbeing Champions across the Club and working collaboratively to create and implement the Club’s Mental Health & Wellbeing Action Plan.

· To support the delivery of E, D and I awareness and training for Club colleagues, including matchday staff.

· Develop and manage relationships with key professional bodies and providers.

· To create and implement internal equality initiatives and health and wellbeing initiatives, including campaigns and awareness events.

· To provide support when individual wellbeing concerns are raised and appropriate signposting to internal and external resources.

· To promote a culture of belonging and demonstrate the value that diversity can bring to the Club’s success.

· To keep abreast of latest best practice and research and brief accordingly to colleagues.

· To work with the Head of Safeguarding and Supporter Services Manager to ensure that the mechanism of reporting concerns is robust and that trends and arising actions are effectively communicated to the Club.

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

· Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion matters

· Demonstrable interest in personal and professional wellbeing

· Previous experience in a similar role is desirable

· Project management or curriculum delivery experience is desirable

· Mental Health First Aider or similar is desirable

· Strong administration, presentation and project management skills

· ‘self-starter’ with ability to prioritise and take initiative

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Proficient IT skills
