An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking IT Manager to join our evolving Technology Department at Norwich City Football Club.
The club has invested significantly in technology over the past 24 months, enhancing the experience for our loyal fans and opening opportunities for increased revenue.
This is an excellent role for someone who has a strong technical background, excellent communication skills and a people development mindset.
The successful person will act as the face of IT, taking overall responsibility for operational stability, network performance and data security.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Liaise with Heads Of and key stakeholders to develop long-term service provision.
- Develop a clear and consistent IT communications approach to the wider business.
- Take ownership of overall IT budget and IT vendors.
- Manage and advise on network security working closely with third parties.
- Work closely with the Head of Technology to deliver innovation and strategic direction.
- Develop IT team members through coaching and mentoring, identifying, and supporting training requirements.
- Work closely with the IT Technical Lead to analyse and plan for future technologies which can be advantageous to the business.
- Devise reporting structure and frequency, tailoring to respective audiences.
- Own the DR plan and policies, ensuring that there is a clear process in place for worse case scenarios.
- Cover home matchday IT operations support on a rota basis in conjunction with the IT Technical Lead and IT team
- To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Minimum 5 years IT Manager experience
