An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the commercial team on a casual basis at Norwich City Football Club in the role of mascot coordinator. This is an excellent role for someone who is friendly, welcoming and has a high standard of customer service skills.
This role is responsible for ensuring the club’s official mascot, Captain Canary, can fulfil its matchday role. Working collaboratively with various internal stakeholders, you will be contributing for building the fanbase of the future through delivery of engaging communication, content, and events.
The successful candidate will be required to work all home matchdays.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- To promote safer working practice and maintain a culture whereby safeguarding is recognised as a shared responsibility
- Assist the club mascot with all duties required such as moving in various areas across the stadium and engaging with supporters.
- Assist with any requests to support fans with various needs such as, directing supporters, assisting with any questions, etc.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service is required throughout all activities conducted.
- Attend pre-match briefings if required.
- Identify any potential safeguarding or EDI issues, ensuring that the matchday accessibility supervisor or a member of the stewarding team is alerted with appropriate information given.
- To remain at their allocated post, unless instructed or authorised to do otherwise.
- Conduct any other matchday related roles when required, such as assisting at the FanZone.
- To act in a manner that supports the club’s values of growth, integrity, belonging, resilience, pride and commitment
