An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Scouting and Recruitment department at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Technical Scout.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Scouting, the Technical Scout will be responsible for conducting extensive video scouting, reporting and analysis on potential target players in collaboration with the Positional Scouts and Player Insights team to support the player identification and assessment process.
**Key Tasks/Responsibilities**
- Conduct extensive video scouting and analysis to support the player identification and assessment process
- Generate scouting reports on potential target players
- Manage positional scouting lists to prioritise and monitor players from senior and emerging talent markets
- Create and maintain video databases on potential target players
- Create detailed videos, dossiers and presentations on target players
- Collaborate with the Player Insights team on the development and application of data analytics
- Collate, manage and co-ordinate scouting information and market intelligence
- Work in collaboration with the Positional Scouts to ensure efficient market coverage
**Knowledge and Experience**
- Extensive experience working within professional football in a Technical Scouting role or similar
- Broad knowledge of domestic and international markets
- Demonstrable Tactical/Technical football knowledge and understanding
- Completed or working towards a FA Talent Identification qualification is desirable
**Technical Skills**
- Proficient in the use of industry leading video analysis tools such as Wyscout, Catapult Matchtracker/Focus and CoachPaint
- Video Editing and Presentation skills
- Experience of applying data to support player identification and assessment process
