Academy midfielder Hugo Valencia Gomez has signed his first professional contract at Norwich City.
The 18-year-old has signed until 2026, with a club option, and has been part of Greg Crane's Under-18s side in recent seasons and scored in the Norfolk Hire Senior Cup win over Sprowston last season.
Signing his first professional deal, Valencia Gomez said: "Honestly, I'm lost for words. I'm ready for the future and I can't wait to get going again.
"I was out injured for a long time, so I had lots of doubts about myself and my future. It was very emotional when I received the news, I really thank the club for the opportunity.
"Last season, I had both ups and downs. But overall, much better than the season before as I only managed a few games before the big injury. But last season, I had some good games, some games where I know I can do better. I just want to improve.
"I've been waiting to get going for pre-season again, been working hard for it. This will be the first pre-season in two years where I'm fit, so I'm ready to go and prove myself.
"I want to work hard, get some games in the Under-21s and prove myself and develop as a team and then who knows."
