On New Year's Day, Philippe Clement's men got the calendar year started with a win at Loftus Road before then suffering a 2-0 defeat to Stoke City at home.

A run of four consecutive victories followed starting with Walsall in the FA Cup and then Wrexham, West Brom and Coventry City.

January then concluded with a narrow defeat at the Riverside to Middlesbrough.

This month's shortlist consists of Ruairi McConville, Ali Ahmed, Anis Ben Slimane and Jovon Makama - vote now using the form below before midday on Tuesday, February 3.

Ruairi McConville

Ruairi McConville has established himself at the heart of the City defence over the past couple of months, providing a string of excellent performances.

Having won the November player of the month, he's back on the shortlist after another impressive month.

McConville started every game in January, playing every minute in the league.

Ali Ahmed

Impact signings were needed in January for City and impact is what Ali Ahmed has brought on the left wing.

The Canadian international has played four games since his arrival from the Vancouver Whitecaps, scoring twice already.

He has already registered two assists meaning he is on a goal contribution per game for the club.

Anis Ben Slimane

After enduring a difficult start to the season with injury, Anis Ben Slimane came roaring back into the squad with a stirring January run.

After two assists against Walsall, he kept his place in the number 10 slot against Wrexham, scoring an early goal.

After coming on at half-time against West Brom, he added another goal and assist in City's four-goal second-half rout.

Not content with that, he also netted in the 2-1 win against Coventry City.

Jovon Makama

Like McConville, Jovon Makama has started in each game this month for City, scoring five goals in seven games.

The all-important second goal against QPR got his month started while a hat-trick in the FA Cup stole the headlines.

Another winner against Wrexham was just reward for the striker who has terrorised defences in the Championship.
