Voting is now closed for Norwich City's Michelle Dack Fan of the Season Award for 2021/22.
The accolade is named after superfan Michelle Dack who sadly passed away in January 2018. Michelle attended many Norwich City matches over the years including 908 consecutive games by the time of her last match against Ipswich Town at Portman Road in October 2017. Her commitment to the Canaries epitomises everything that the award symbolises.
We, as a club, received more than 150 of nominations for the award and we have whittled them down to the following three nominations: Voting closed at 9am on Tuesday, May 3.
**Amber Sheehy**
When Amber was five she was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour, since then she has had surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy to rid her body of cancer. Since her successful treatment she is now living life to the fullest and has become a big Norwich City fan attending both the Liverpool and Bournemouth game this season! She recently met some of the first team and has taken inspiration from some of her favourite players Tim Krul and Angus Gunn and wants to play in goal as she hopes to join her first under-9s girls team next season. “Considering only a few years ago she had to gain the strength to walk and kick a ball, now she’s unstoppable," said her mum Amanda. **Jill Dann** Jill is 82 and has been a season ticket holder for 43 years! She has experienced many ups and downs whilst following the club, going through many promotions and relegations. She recently has had to deal with the return of cancer, but she still attends every home game and listens to every away commentary. But it’s Jill’s unselfishness that really stands out this season, upgrading her season ticket so that her granddaughter’s boyfriend could go as a birthday present and potentially missing her first home game in 43 years. However, Angus Gunn and his dad Bryan both heard about this and offered Jill and her partner a ticket so that she was able to make the match against Manchester United. **Cillian O’Grady** Every time Cillian watches Norwich at Carrow Road he has to make the journey all the way from Dublin! He has also made the trips to many away games this season including, Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham and Brighton, showing his dedication to the club making the journey over from Ireland. He is part of the Irish Canaries group and is always one to take the positives out of every single game and he’s become a season ticket holder for the 2022/23 and plans to keep attending as many away matches as possible.
