Having beaten Sheffield United Under-21s on Monday night, Olly Lees side will face Swansea City Under-21s in the quarter-finals of a new end-of-season academy play-offs.
Jake Glossop was substituted on during the second half of extra time and secured a 3-1 victory at Bramall Lane by scoring his first goal for the Under-21s with a superbly executed free-kick.
"It was a really nice feeling, scoring the free-kick. The lads wanted me to take it, so I had confidence in myself to take it.
"When it hit the back of the net, it was such a good feeling knowing that we won the game, and I contributed to winning it.
"We had to wait until the final minutes of extra time to win the game. It was really good of the lads to stick together and push right to the end, and then finally, get the win."
Saturday's opponents Swansea City saw off Newcastle United in the round of 16, winning 2-0 at the Swansea.com Stadium.
"We go into it with real confidence, because we know we went away from home; we were 1-0 down but we came back and won the game 3-1.
"So I feel like, especially being able to play at Carrow Road, we've got a little bit of an advantage behind us.
"We go into it with real confidence, and think we can get through to the next round."
