Norwich City are delighted to confirm that academy player Finley Welch has been awarded the Premier League Scholar of the Year award for his grades and commitment as a scholar.
The scholar of the year is to recognise an academy player from the Under-18 age group, who has excelled in all aspects of the scholarship programme and is a role model to other players.
Welch achieved the equivalent of three A\*s at A level and he has been given a full grant by the PFA for business school to do a degree.
Academy tutor and core programme coordinator Jennifer Joyce said: "We are so proud of Fin. He has managed being the captain of the Under-18s and stepped up to play alongside the Under-21s squad, all whilst and maintaining an unbelievable work ethic.
"He has been brilliant at handling both on and off the pitch commitments."
