Norwich City Women are once again on the road as they compete in the first round of the FAWNL League Plate competition, facing Tier 4 side Northampton Town.
The match takes place at the O'Riordan Bond Stadium in a 2pm kick-off on Sunday, October 19.
The Canaries finished second in Group L after wins against Peterborough United and Cambridge United, but were just short on goal difference to be entered into the cup.
Andy Cook's side make the trip to the Midlands following an emphatic 5-0 victory over MK Dons in Division One South East last Sunday.
The win leaves Norwich City second in the table, three points off Fulham in top spot.
The Opposition
Also a Tier 4 side, Northampton Town reside in Division One Midlands, currently occupying 10th after six games played.
They have five points from one win and two draws, Gabriella Maia proving a threat as top-scorer for the Shoe Army.
Town finished the group stage of the League Cup competition in third after a 3-1 win against Arsenal's PGA side.
Josh Oldfield's side then suffered narrow defeats against Rugby Borough and Loughborough Lighting.
The slow start to Northampton's 2025/26 campaign may come as a surprise to many fans, after they narrowly missed out on promotion to the Northern Premier Division last season, finishing just eight points and one place behind the promoted Loughborough Lightning.
