City Women will hold a training camp this weekend, which will include a pre-season friendly against Tier 3 side Gwalia United.
The match will take place at the neutral venue of Warwick University in a 2pm kick-off on Sunday, July 20.
The squad will travel down on Friday afternoon and make use of the facilities for a training day on Saturday.
Please note this game is being played behind closed doors and is not open to the public.
After kick starting the pre-season campaign with a 2-1 loss against a strong Leyton Orient side, City will be hoping to pick up a win against the Welsh side.
The Opposition
Residing in the Southern Premier Division for the third consecutive season, Gwalia United, formerly Cardiff City Ladies, finished their 2024/25 campaign in ninth place with a tally of 22 points.
One of their six wins included a hugely important result against eventual second-place Hashtag United, goals from Elena Cole and Casi Gregson helping to secure their safety from relegation.
United opened their pre-season campaign with a 4-2 win over Swindon Town earlier this month; Tia Asker, Gregson, new recruit Beth McGowen and Bonnie Gready all on the scoresheet for the home side.
Gwalia had plenty of fresh faces in the squad, having made four new player signings this summer so far as well as a new goalkeeping coach and coach analyst.
