Women's Preview | Cambridge United v Norwich City (FA Cup)

Norwich City Women head across East Anglia this weekend for round one of the Adobe Women's FA Cup against Cambridge United.

The match will take place at St Neots Town Football Club on Sunday, November 3, in an earlier kick-off of 1pm.

The Canaries progressed through to this stage of the competition following a convincing 5-0 win over Needham Market in the determining round.

A hat-trick for Natasha Snelling supported by goals from Millie Daviss and Holly Kennard sealed the win at The Nest earlier this month.

The Opposition

United enter the hat for the first round following an emphatic 3-1 win over in-form Real Bedford. Sarah Wiltshire, Abbie Jackson and Rosy Wodhams were all on the scoresheet for the U's.

The 2023/24 season saw Cambridge United reach as far as the first round of the competition, losing out 2-1 to MK Dons.

United currently hold ninth place in Division One South East with three wins, one draw and four losses.

Head to Head

Norwich have faced United 19 times since 2014, resulting in 10 wins for the Canaries, seven wins for Cambridge and two draws.

Last Time Out

The last meeting between these two sides was earlier this season in City's first home game of the 2024/25 campaign. Andy Cook's side battled it out to take away all three points in a 2-0 win, thanks to a Natasha Snelling brace.
