Norwich City Women are at The Nest for the fourth weekend running on Sunday, as they continue their campaign in the FAWNL Plate competition against Division One South East side Actonians.
City find themselves in the second round of the competition following a 3-2 win over Tier 3 side MK Dons at the end of last month.
The Opposition
Actonians currently occupy second in the league, just one point behind the Canaries.
They too have had a strong start to the 2024/25 campaign, collecting four wins, two draws and just one loss, which came in their most recent league outing away to Dulwich Hamlet.
Actonians’ best result saw a 9-2 win over Chesham United, top-scorer Dior Knorr netting twice.
The lead up to today’s plate fixture had them knocked out of the cup by London Bees in a 2-1 away loss, then they recorded wins against Abingdon United in Division One South West (3-0) and Chatham Town (1-0).
