Norwich City Women started 2026 with a 3-0 win on the road against Actinians in Division One South East at Rectory Park.
After a goalless first half, Issy Moore netted a brace for the first two and Evie Williams sealed the three points in the final minute of the game.
Andy Cook made one change from the side that beat Dulwich Hamlet 1-0 back in December, with Eloise King starting in place of Ceri Flye.
City claimed the first corner of the game inside five minutes after a drive from Holly Kennard down the left wing but Actonians' Elisa Dogor got her hands on the ball into the box, punching away the danger.
The first shot of the afternoon came from the hosts, Viviene Reutgers taking aim from the edge of the area but Sarah Quantrill was able to get low and smother.
Issy Moore set-up Freya Symonds on the edge of the area down the other end, the latter finding the target but Dogor collected the effort.
A signature Lara Densley corner found Grace Riglar in her usual position at the back post but the defender nodded over the bar.
Kennard sliced a shot that floated goalward with 20 minutes played, her effort narrowly looping over the bar.
Symonds came closest in the first 30 minutes, her second strike falling inches wide of the target.
Dogor was required to react quickly to a strike from Natasha Snelling as a high press allowed the forward to steal the ball deep in Actonians' half.
The deadlock was finally broken after a fantastic ball over the top from Williams to Moore waiting in the area, who headed the ball first time into the top-right corner with five minutes before the half closed.
Actonians captain Mara Bramwell had the last chance of the half, firing a free-kick inches high over Quantrill's goal.
City came out with much of the same intensity in the second half and were rewarded on the hour mark with a second goal.
The goal was a repeat of the first, Williams crossing in from the left to find Moore waiting in the area who only had to nod the ball home for hers and City's second of the match.
Williams then stood over a free-kick deep in Actonians half and fired an effort narrowly high of the target.
City had the chance to extend the lead further after a steal and shot from Kennard was initially blocked by Dogor but Snelling was able to pounce on the rebound, only for Bramwell to block on the line.
Substitute Drew Wilson's first touch was a powerful strike at goal that was high of the target.
Wilson then made a fantastic interception for the Canaries to set up Kennard down the wing again, forcing Dogor to make a diving save and earn City a corner.
The resulting set-piece gave the Canaries their third of the afternoon, Williams firing home from close-range after a scramble in the box, Actonians failing to clear the danger in the 89th minute.
The win keeps Norwich within a point of leaders Fulham, who were without a game this weekend.
City are without a game next week and are back in action on Sunday, January 25, away to Luton Town.
