Freya Symonds scored twice to give Norwich City Women three points against second-place London Bees at The Hive.
The Canaries made just one change from the 4-0 win over Luton Town last weekend, meaning Eloise Hall would lead the line in Natasha Snelling's place and Olivia Cook filled the vacant position on the wing.
City won the first corner of the game after a well-placed Cook throw in the opening minutes of the tie.
Symonds delivered it in and Grace Riglar was eventually able to get a shot off but she could only land her effort on the roof of the net.
The hosts took the lead after nine minutes played, a ball in from the left finding Brionne Fowle who sent a bullet header into the corner.
Hall had the opportunity to level things up immediately after the restart, Ellie Smith setting her up in the box at close-range but her strike didn't have enough on it to test Tia Ginn in goal for Bees.
City got their equaliser in the 18th minute after a penalty was awarded following a foul on Smith in the box.
Symonds stepped up and converted into the bottom right corner to make it 1-1.
Another long throw from Cook nearly had Norwich in front as Riglar found great space to shoot but dragged her shot narrowly wide.
A fantastic run from Holly Kennard allowed the winger to fire a ball on target but Ginn was able to block and collect the strike.
The game was then turned on its head when a clever steal from Symonds allowed her to take a composed shot on the edge of the area and find the back of the net for a City second.
Another steal deep in the Bees half left Smith in position to shoot inside the box but Ginn got a fingertip to the effort to push it onto the post and wide.
Hall managed to get an effort at goal in the final chance of the first half but Ginn was there again to stifle the shot.
London Bees' Sandra Martins had the first shot of the second 45 minutes, rifling an effort high over the bar.
Both sides battled it out for the following 15 minutes of play but neither could test the goalkeepers enough for a fourth goal.
A free-kick taken by Symonds left Riglar unmarked to take a half-volley that was only narrowly wide of the target.
There was a lengthy pause in play as Smith received treatment and was eventually stretchered off after a knock to the knee.
After 10 minutes of injury time Bees were unable to net a second goal and all three points went to the travelling Canaries.
Andy Cook's side are back in action next weekend for the final group stage game of the FAWNL League Cup against Cambridge United next Sunday.
