Norwich City Women cruised past Hutton Ladies to reach the next round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup after four goals at The Nest.
Eloise Hall, Olivia Cook, Holly Kennard and Grace Riglar were all on the scoresheet for the Canaries.
Andy Cook made three changes from the 1-0 win over Cambridge United in the League Cup last weekend.
Cook replaced Lauren Hailes in attack, while Drew Wison came in for Evie Williams.
Millie Daviss replaced Hope Strauss at the back which saw Poppy Francis move into the centre of defence.
The visitors had the first chance of the game in the 13th minute when Ella Edwards was brought down on the edge of the box.
Maria Cabal Paredes stepped up to take the resulting free-kick but fired straight into the arms of Holly Mears.
City went straight up the other end and took the lead seconds later.
Issy Moore collected the ball in midfield and went on a driving run through the box before drilling a low cross from the right byline, which was tapped home by Hall from close range.
Norwich almost doubled their lead two minutes later when Lara Densley sent a dangerous corner deep into the box, which was met by Hall at the far post but her looping header went just over the bar.
There was a lengthy stoppage in play midway through the first half as Hall received treatment, before eventually being stretchered off following a blow to her knee.
City went close on the half-hour mark when Cook powered her way through midfield before unleashing a strike from the edge of the box which deflected kindly into Hayley Jacobson’s arms.
Cook broke in behind the Hutton defence again shortly after, her cross dropping for Natasha Snelling, who was able to lay the ball back for Wilson to strike but her effort sailed over.
The Canaries found more joy down the right as Moore broke into a similar position to the opener and sent another cross into the box.
Cook got on the end of it and poked towards goal but the goalkeeper was equal to her effort.
City had the first shot of the second half when Wilson released Cook in the box but her shot from a wide angle was well blocked.
Norwich doubled their advantage in the 54th minute with a fantastic effort from Cook.
The winger collected the ball in space on the right flank and fired a powerful strike which sailed over the helpless Jacobson and into the top-left corner for her first goal of the season.
Cook sent a searching long throw into the box shortly after, which made its way through to Ceri Flye at the far post, whose strike was deflected over the bar by the outstretched leg of the defender.
City almost netted another on 75 minutes when Hailes sent in a fierce cross from the right, which was glanced narrowly wide by the arriving Moore.
They didn’t have to wait long for a third goal, as 10 minutes later Daviss broke to the byline and drilled a low ball across the box, which was tapped home by Kennard at the far post.
The Canaries were awarded a penalty in the 88th minute when Daviss nipped in to beat Jacobson to the ball and was hauled down by the goalkeeper.
Riglar stepped up to take the resulting spot-kick and coolly converted in off the left post to extend the lead to four.
The referee blew the whistle shortly after to confirm the victory for the Canaries, which sees them safely through to the first round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
The draw takes place on Monday with the corresponding fixture taking place on Sunday, October 26.
Prior to that fixture, City are back in action next weekend when MK Dons visit The Nest in a return to league action.
