Norwich City Women suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Chatham Town on Sunday afternoon in a Division One South East tie at The Nest.
The game was won in the first half as the Canaries conceded twice in just over 30 minutes, although Natasha Snelling was able to halve the deficit before the break.
The visitors started the game on top, Otesha Charles cutting inside on the left to send a cross towards goal but she couldn't keep it in.
A superb ball over the top from Evie Williams found Holly Kennard driving down the wing, eventually setting up Emily Wallace to cross in the area but Simone Eligon snatched the ball from danger.
Town captain Ellie Jeffkins had an effort from the edge of the area fall just wide of the target with 15 minutes played.
Issy Moore started an attack just inside City's half, sending Wallace down the left to cross into the area, but the pass was just too long for both Snelling and Faith Harrison.
The visitors took the lead after 25 minutes, Jeffkins trying her luck again from outside the area and this time looping Sarah Quantrill to find the back of the net.
Chatham and Jeffkins then netted a second after half an hour played from a corner ball that was turned in at the back post.
Norwich responded quickly, however, pulling one back just three minutes later; a superb run from Moore to get through the defence and set-up Snelling to tap home.
The visitors had the first chance of the second half, Charles racing into the box to get on the end of a Chatham cross but headed way high and wide.
A fast ball out from the back by Quantrill forced Wallace to drive down the left wing and a cross from Kennard found Moore in the area but she couldn’t find the target.
A Williams free kick floated narrowly high of Chatham’s goal just before the hour mark.
Williams and Ceri Flye both had efforts saved well by Eligon in the final 10 minutes of the game.
The Canaries were unable to capitalise on any of the chances for the remainder of the game and the defeat ultimately crowned Fulham champions of the division.
City still need a point to confirm their place in the Tier 4 play-offs.
