A 96th minute goal sent Norwich City Women through to the second round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup in their 4-3 victory over Stevenage Women on Sunday afternoon.
The Canaries were on the right end of a seven-goal thriller, with further goals from Evie Williams and a brace from Holly Kennard.
Andy Cook made three changes to his side that beat Tier 5 Northampton Town in the second round of the FAWNL Plate last weekend; Snelling, Issy Moore and Grace Riglar making way for Olivia Cook, Freya Symonds and Williams.
Kennard had the first shot on target of the game, making a great run down the right to shoot from a tight angle, but she could only find the gloves of Stevenage stopper Faye Hazelton.
After plenty of controlled possession from the Canaries, they deservedly found their lead after 14 minutes.
A Freya Symonds corner was poorly dealt with and fell back to her feet on the edge of the area, allowing her to perfectly pick out Williams who could slot home the opener.
The hosts then piled on the pressure following the goal and eventually found their equaliser from a corner that City scrambled to clear, the ball deflecting off Holly Mears and into the back of the net.
A mistake from the back then cost City a second time and Stevenage were in front for the first time just two minutes before half-time.
Captain Sarah Wiltshire was able to pounce on a loose ball deep in Norwich's half and looped Mears for Boro's second.
City came out of the starting blocks with much of the same pressure as the first half and were soon rewarded with an equaliser.
A fantastic turn from Williams sent Kennard racing down the left, the winger beating two defenders to curl a brilliant shot into the top-right corner with 51 minutes on the clock.
Mears was forced to make a brilliant save to deny Wiltshire a second, punching away her effort from point-blank range.
The lead was then restored for City just six minutes later as a great flick from Symonds released Cook to get a shot that hit the bar, but Kennard was alert to the rebound and nodded in City's third.
Kennard was agonisingly close to her hat-trick with an effort that grazed Stevenage's crossbar with 15 minutes to play.
The scores then levelled up at 80 minutes, Wiltshire netting her second with a tap-in for the hosts.
As the game looked like it was heading for penalties, a fresh set of legs and the magic of the cup allowed City to break and Snelling volleyed a strike that hit the underside of the crossbar and bounced back in off Hazelton, sending the City fand and becnh into pandemonium.
The win secures Norwich City's place in the second round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup, the draw taking place on Monday evening.
