Norwich City Women lost their unbeaten league record as they fell 1-0 to Ashford Town on the final day.
After missing out on top spot and promotion in recent weeks, City had the chance to console themselves with the prospect of an unbeaten FAWNL Division One South East season, but it wasn't to be for Scott Emmerson's side, after Anya Kinnane's early header proved decisive.
City survived a scare when Ashford Town fired over from the right channel in the opening minute.
The Canaries gathered themselves well but Ashford went ahead from a corner in the 10th minute; Kinnane scoring at the back post.
Ceri Flye nearly got City back on level terms on 13 minutes as she met Alice Parker's free-kick with a strong header that was narrowly too high.
Lauren Hailes fed Tash Snelling in the right-hand channel on 27 minutes but the striker was beaten to it by the Ashford defender.
On 30 minutes, Parker's cross nearly found Ellie Smith but she was outnumbered and couldn't get her head to the ball.
Sarah Quantrill made a smart save down at her right-hand post to deny a shot from distance on 41 mins.
Ellie Smith showed her quality in the 44th minute, meeting a Parker free-kick with her back to goal and hooking a volley over her shoulder and narrowly wide.

Smith, as dangerous as ever, cut in and rifled a shot from the left side of the Ashford box, but the power took it over the bar.
Tash Snelling was next to go close as she steered a volley on target after 62 minutes, but the Ashford 'keeper was equal to it.
