Norwich City Women are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Poppy Irvine on a professional contract following her depature from WSL side Birmingham City.
The 20-year-old joins the Canaries after spending three years with Birmingham City's Under-21s side and a year with the senior team.
She will take the number one shirt on arrival to Norfolk.
Irvine initially joined the WSL 2 Champions at Under-10s level and then had a brief stint with Wolverhampton Wanders before returning back to the Blues at age 16.
She signed her first professional contract with Birmingham after her rise to the first team in March 2025.
Irvine also collected Players' Player in her final season with the youth side at the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign.
On signing for Norwich City, she said: "I'm really excited to get started. I know the club’s ambitions and I’m really glad to be here in the number one spot, get some playing time and see what the team is all about.
"After speaking to Flo, seeing the facilities and meeting the girls, it was a no-brainer for me."
The goalkeeper has already gained Tier 3 experience after loan spells with Sporting Khalsa in 2025 and Cheltenham Town at the end of last season.
"It’s a really good league with competitive teams.
"We’re going to go in there and do everything we can to put in a good shift every game and leave it all out there."
