Norwich City Under-18s were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup by Leeds United Under-18s in the third round, falling to a 2-0 defeat.
A goal early in each half from Marley Wilson and Daniel Toulson gave the Yorkshiremen safe passage into the next round, despite a second half onslaught from Norwich.
It didn't take Leeds long to find the net with Wilson opening the scoring with just over three minutes on the clock.
He latched on to a knock-down from Max McFadden and fired past Caleb Ansen in the Norwich goal.
The young Canaries responded well to that setback and Errol Mundle-Smith in particular was causing Leeds problems with his running in behind.
Miles Bracking's header from a corner was the first real opportunity to level matters but flew over the crossbar.
Elliot Myles tested his range just after half an hour but his curling effort was again watched over the crossbar by Rory Mahady.
McFadden could have made it two on the stroke of half-time but Alfie Doy recovered well to make the block, allowing Ansen to clear the danger.
Bracking had an opportunity early in the second half after a powerful run from midfield but Mahady collected comfortably.
Ansen then made a good save to deny Alfie Cresswell but the second goal would come just a minute later through Toulson.
The Leeds captain got the last touch on a dangerous free-kick.
Norwich almost hit back immediately when La'Sean Sealey's first touch forced Mahady into a save with his feet. And the substitute came close again soon after but this time the effort would trickle out for a corner-kick.
The Canaries were certainly ramping up the pressure and Bracking had Mahady scrambling again with a header but it was the wrong side of the post.
Waylon Renecke hit the post when he got on the end of a Forsyth corner-kick with 25 minutes to go.
At the other end, Wilson almost doubled his personal tally with a stunning overhead kick but Ansen was well positioned to turn it away.
After Mahady had saved low to his left from Myles, Toulson was in the right place to stop Mundle-Smith from having a simple tap-in.
All of the play was with Norwich but they just couldn't find a way through. Sealey put an effort over from close range after Myles had seen his initial attempt blocked with the goalkeeper beaten.
The open nature of the game late on meant that Leeds would create more opportunities, but when they did Ansen was a match for them.
Wilson was shown a second yellow card late on so that the visitors would finish with 10.
