Academy scholars give back to the local community

Scholars

Norwich City Academy scholars have been embracing opportunities to give back to the local community, taking part in initiatives supporting people of different ages and backgrounds.

As part of their development away from the pitch, Under-18s Rio Smith Roach, Lucas Alvarado, Rupert Askham, Bobby Crane, Aaron Goodson, and Dire Akarakiri recently visited a dementia support group at Duncan's club at the foundation, which supports people living with dementia and their families.

The visits have allowed the scholars to experience different community initiatives first-hand, highlighting the importance of looking beyond football and understanding the positive impact they can have away from the game.

These experiences form part of the wider development of Norwich City's young players, helping them grow as individuals while continuing their progress within the Academy.

Through opportunities to engage with and support others, the scholars are learning valuable lessons that extend well beyond the training pitch.
