The club are delighted to sign forward Niyah Dunbar on loan from WSL side Sunderland for the 2026/27 season.

Born in Salford, Dunbar grew up in the North East and began her career with New Marske Under-12s in 2019 before moving on to Redcar Town, Grangetown and then the Teeside Regional Talent Centre.

The now 19-year old first joined Sunderland's PGA side in 2023 and earned her first-team debut in 2024 against Blackburn Rovers.

She made her first senior start for the Black Cats the following season in a Subway League Cup tie against Liverpool.

Dunbar has now amassed seven appearances for the WSL side.

She holds international experience as well, having featured for the Lionesses at Under-19s level.

On signing for the Canaries, she said: "It feels amazing to be here, it's a really big honour.

"I know we want to score, win lots of games and just be the best we can as individuals and as a group.

"I want to be able to contribute as many goals or assists as I can and just help my team.

"Front three is where I’m most comfortable, but I’ll play anywhere."

Head of women's football, Flo Allen, said: "We are all delighted to welcome Niyah to the club.

"She is a talented player who has already gained valuable experience in a WSL environment.

"She brings pace, versatility and her attacking qualities make her an exciting addition to the squad.

"Thanks must go to Sunderland for supporting Niyah with the opportunity to continue her development with us.

"We are excited to see the impact she will have with us on the pitch this season."
