Connor Lake, Special Events Delivery Manager, Greater Anglia, said:
“We know this match is very important to our customers, which is why we are running this additional train.
“We have worked with Norwich City Football Club to identify and respond to customer demand, and this additional service is a direct result of that partnership working.
“We always want to support large local events where possible and make it easy for people to travel by train so they can leave the car at home.”
Lauren Blyth, Head of CSR, Norwich City Football Club, said:
“We’re pleased to have worked closely with Greater Anglia to introduce this additional service for supporters travelling to Carrow Road.
“Having reliable and convenient public transport options is an important part of the matchday experience, and this service will give more people the opportunity to travel to and from matches by train.
“We’d like to thank Greater Anglia for responding to the needs of our supporters and for their continued support in helping make matchday travel as straightforward as possible.”
To save time and beat the queues, passengers are advised to buy tickets online or via the Greater Anglia app before they travel, and people travelling in groups of three or more can save money with GroupSave.

This extra train is part of Greater Anglia’s planning to support major events and make rail travel easier for customers.
It also reflects the more coordinated approach being developed across GBR Anglia, with c2c, Greater Anglia and Network Rail Anglia now working under one leadership team to improve planning, strengthen day-to-day coordination and deliver a more joined-up railway for passengers across the region.
