Loan Report | Jones scores again in Tranmere defeat

Dylan Joens

Dylan Jones was on target again for Tranmere Rovers over the weekend, despite Darrell Clarke's side slipping to a 4-2 defeat against Chesterfield in League Two.

The forward has enjoyed an impressive start to his second spell at Prenton Park this season, scoring four goals in his opening seven games.

Introduced in the first half following an injury to Zane Okoro, Jones levelled the scores in the 59th minute, but Rovers were unable to hold on for a point in Derbyshire, conceding three goals in the final 10 minutes.

Matěj Jurásek scored twice and provided an assist in Sparta Prague's 5-3 friendly victory over Vysočina Jihlava on Friday.

The Czech international found the net just before half-time before sealing the victory six minutes from time, after the visitors had mounted a late comeback through former City striker Tyrese Omotoye.

Accrington Stanley stretched their unbeaten run to four games in all competitions, with goalkeeper Louie Moulden keeping his second clean sheet of the season as John Doolan's side ran out 2-0 winners over Cheltenham.

The Canary stopper was called into action on just one occasion throughout the 90 minutes as Stanley eased to victory and continued their positive run of form.

Ken Aboh was substituted at half-time as Boston United suffered a 6-0 defeat against promotion-chasing Yeovil Town.

The forward has contributed five goals in his opening 12 games in his second spell with the Pilgrims.

Fakenham Town fell to a 2-1 defeat against Witham Town on Saturday, with City youngster Oser Okpiabhele playing the full 90 minutes as the Ghosts' tough start to life in the Isthmian League continued.
