The Opposition

The Rams return to Pride Park after suffering a 4-1 defeat in the capital against Millwall.

Filip Bibija pulled one back in the 87th minute but it wasn’t enough for Derby to take anything back from their trip to The Den.

John Eustace’s side are currently 23rd in the table heading into this midweek clash.

Previous Encounters

Norwich last faced Derby in April earlier this year where goals from Mohamed Touré and Liam Gibbs secured a 2-1 win for Norwich at Carrow Road.

Touré scored the opener as Amankwah Forson found the Australia striker in the box and powered the ball home off the underside of the bar.

David Ozoh dispossessed the ball just outside the box, finding Carlton Morris who levelled the scores in the 54th minute.

Gibbs netted the winner just six minutes later with a right-footed curling shot on the edge of the box.

Connections

Several former players have turned out for both Norwich City and Derby County during their professional careers.

One of the most notable names is Bradley Johnson, who had a successful spell at Norwich before joining Derby County in 2016.

The midfielder joined Norwich City in 2011 and became a key member of the Canaries' squad, helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League in his first season at Carrow Road.

Johnson made 155 appearances for Norwich, scoring 21 goals, before completing a move to Derby in September 2015. He went on to make 140 appearances for the Rams, finding the net 14 times.

Another player to have represented both clubs is striker Cameron Jerome.

Jerome joined Norwich from Stoke City in August 2014 and had an impressive first season, scoring 20 goals in 44 Championship appearances as the Canaries secured promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs.

The forward finished his Norwich career with 42 goals in 138 appearances across all competitions before joining Derby County in January 2018.

Ram’s striker Carlton Morris started his journey into football in Norwich’s youth system and went on to be academy scholar in 2012 before signing his professional contract with the Canaries in 2016.

Another familiar face which could feature on Tuesday evening is Shane Duffy. The centre-back signed a two-month contract with Derby last week.
