Philippe Clement’s side are back on the road on Tuesday night as they make the trip to Stoke City (8pm KO).
The Canaries will be looking to build on Saturday’s impressive 4-1 victory over recently relegated Burnley as they head to Staffordshire for their latest Sky Bet Championship fixture.
The Opposition
Despite beginning their domestic campaign with a Carabao Cup victory over Oldham Athletic, Mark Robins’ side are still searching for their first league win of the season.
The Potters were beaten 4-1 by Wolves at Molineux in their most recent outing, despite taking the lead after just two minutes through Sam Gallagher.
Stoke currently sit at the foot of the Championship table on goal difference, with their slow start coming despite taking the lead in four of their last five matches in all competitions.
Robins will be hoping his side can quickly turn their fortunes around, with eight new arrivals having joined the club during the summer. Among them are multi-million-pound signings Ethan Galbraith and George Hirst, who arrived from Swansea City and Ipswich Town respectively, and will be hoping to make their mark at the bet365 Stadium.
Previous Encounters
Mark Robins’ side claimed all three points the last time the two teams met in January, with half-time substitute Sam Gallagher putting the visitors ahead before Sorba Thomas doubled their advantage seven minutes later.
The Canaries’ most recent victory over the Potters came in February 2025. Loanee Lewis Dobbin opened the scoring before Lewis Baker levelled the scores shortly before half-time.
Josh Sargent then struck twice in the second half, before Lucien Mahovo’s deflected effort sealed a 4-2 victory for City at Carrow Road.
The Canaries’ last win at the bet365 Stadium came in March 2024, when David Wagner’s side secured a comfortable victory thanks to goals from Josh Sargent, Gabriel Sara and Ashley Barnes.

Connections
Mark Robins, Philippe Clement’s counterpart in the opposing dugout on Tuesday night, is no stranger to the yellow and green, having spent three years in Norfolk between 1992 and 1995.
The forward made 73 appearances for City after joining from Manchester United, quickly becoming a favourite at Carrow Road after scoring 15 goals in his debut season as the Canaries finished third in the inaugural Premier League.
However, Robins was unable to replicate that goalscoring form over the following two campaigns, with a serious injury ruling him out for much of his second season.
Ben Gibson could be in line for a recall to the Potters’ starting line-up on Tuesday night after being dropped for Stoke’s 3-1 defeat against Southampton last weekend.
The defender spent four years at Carrow Road, making 123 appearances for the Canaries.
Canary favourite Mario Vrančić also made the switch to the bet365 Stadium following the expiry of his contract with Norwich in 2021. The midfielder made 35 appearances for Stoke before joining Rijeka and later Sarajevo on loan the following season.
Darel Russell, Cameron Jerome, Angus Gunn and Peter Crouch are among the 16 players to have represented both clubs during their careers.
