Defender Ben Chrisene confirmed there was lots to take away from Wednesday's pre-season draw against AFC Wimbledon and praised the City fans for their travelling support.
"I think it was a tough game but a good test for us.
"I think all these pre-season games are going to be tough and I think the main thing is about, like the gaffer says, getting minutes in our legs and kind of focussing that.
"The season is not far away, so hopefully we can build towards that.
"These games are about improving ourselves.
"There were a lot of changes in the game as well, like there has been with all the games so far.
"This part of pre-season is different because it's hard to get flowing but I think we did well and we haven't conceded a goal yet.
"So I think that's our focus, to score more goals and progress to the start of season.
"Wimbledon were a physical side and when you play someone in a league below, they're always going to try and outrun you, outmuscle you.
"They started their game plan quite well and it showed for them at the end."
As part of the preparations for the 2026/27 campaign, the squad are spending a week in the capital in a training camp outside of Norfolk.
"It's been enjoyable, I think!
"It's about getting closer, especially with a few new lads in as well.
"It's for them as well, to meet all of us, and be around each other all the time.
"I don't know about being together 24/7, but we'll see how it is at the end of the week!"
With over 1,000 Canaries making the trip on the night, Chrisene hailed their support at the cHERRY red Records Stadium.
"That was amazing.
"In any game, it's really nice to see them, even in these pre-season tests, which people will say don't mean much, but they show up in their numbers still.
"In Switzerland they were amazing as well; they're always good and hopefully they can continue that and bring it into the season."
