Head coach Philippe Clement was pleased with Norwich City's response as the Canaries came from two goals down beat Watford 3-2 at Carrow Road.
“I think it's for the group a really good way to come back and show the unity, also how they are physically to respond like that and to overrun opponents.
“Of course, you don't want to go behind in that way. We started really well, with good football, with good chances, with getting the fans behind you, it was all there
“But then on one transition we don't defend well, and then the second transition we don't defend well, and you go out of nothing, two nil behind.
“Then you need to have a strong mentality and a strong mind to change that around, and that's what the players did in the second-half.
“So, I think this is also a really, really clear statement about the unity in this group and how hungry they are to dig out results.
Clement shared his half time thoughts.
"In life there are always two choices to make or to be the victim and to go down and to be disappointed about yourself, about your teammates, about fans booing or whatever.
“There's the other way to fight through it and that I believe this team can score two goals in two minutes, even when it's 0-2 in the 90 minutes.
“We can do that because we have the quality to do it only when everybody on the pitch believes in that and that's why they showed in the second-half, not two goals but three goals and deservedly.”
The Belgian believes that the changes in defence and showing more quality gave them the edge in the second half.
“Scoring the goals and not conceding the goals and it looks simple like that but we had really good chances the first half also where you come really close in scoring several times but the second-half.
“We defended much better the transitions and we didn't give away almost anything, only one set piece I think.
“It's about showing more quality and to be more decisive also on the pitch with our passing and creating the chance, but in the first half, there were also a lot of good things there already.”
"Every game is different and it's not at the last couple of games. It's a long time ago. So, they stood 4-3.
“This game we should have won 3-1 or 4-1 or something, but we conceded two goals that make the crowds nervous and that's normal but the team reacted well.
“That needs to give fuel for the weeks and months to come because there's a lot of potential in this group, but I need this fire, this grit in every action that they do and to believe in themselves and each other.
“So they had a few knocks the last couple of months, but this will give the fuel also to gain confidence in it.”
Kenny McLean, Pelle Mattsson and Oscar Schwartau missed out on today’s game with injury, Clement provided an update on them.
"We need to assess that further, so it can be that during the game, during the next week that they will be back. It can also be not the case during the next week, but it's normally not something long-term.
“Oscar Schwartau, I expect feedback for the Tuesday game.
“He had a neural problem, so nothing big, but he was not ready to play a game or play minutes now.
“But he got good treatment yesterday evening and he felt much better today. So, he will be fit for Tuesday.”
The head coach was pleased with the result and praised Man of the Match Mathias Kvistgaarden for his performance and progress.
“Yeah, he’s a very good example of that grit, tough, fire, and desire to win every duel, to keep every ball, to be brave on the ball, but also to be very difficult to beat in the duels and to put pressing and to be aggressive.
“Mati has made big, big steps in the last couple of months and he becomes better and better, so that helps the team.
“He deserves to get a trophy today, although there were several others also with a really good performance today.”
