Norwich City head coach Philippe Clement described today’s performance as frustrating and was disappointed with the final result.

“We played against a team first in the league who have played really well these last two months and we competed until the last seconds to get a point.

"It's frustrating not to get anything out of the game.

“There were a few good chances in that last part; a shot from (Anthony) Musaba, Sam (Field) from the penalty point, that Vigouroux saved.

“Then the one from Jovon (Makama) just over the crossbar.

“So, we need to take that momentum and that's what we missed today. I saw a much better performance than against Bolton.

“There was better organisation, a more compact team, creating enough chances but not giving away much against a team that was really good on the ball and they normally create a lot of chances.

“We also felt the frustration of the Swansea fans just before half-time.

“In the first half that was in balance with not many chances on both sides, but they started the second half really strong, where we struggled to have the same quality as in the first half.

“That's why I made changes and then we stepped things up again in the last half hour to be the team with the best chances.

"But they scored one goal more than us today and that's a pity because the team deserved at least a point today.

“Defending was better than the last few weeks, so that was also important to help the midfield and the defence.

“There were a lot of positives that we can take out of this game but, of course, you always want at least a point with a performance like that.

“So, that's disappointing, but you need to look forward.

“There are 37 more games to play in this league and if we bring these kind of performances, the points will follow.

“That's the important thing that I wanted to see today, but it's always nicer, of course, when you get the reward."

At half-time, the head coach urged his team to stick to their game plan, while anticipating a strong response from Swansea after the break.

“We also felt the nervousness of their fans, manager and players.

“If you can score a second goal, you can make it really toxic with the home supporters."

The Canaries face a busy week ahead, with two home fixtures on the horizon. In the wake of today’s result, Clement insisted his focus is firmly on the future and the challenges that lie ahead.

"We need to work hard every time to get the three points and in this league, that's shown again today; it's competitive every game day.

“So, a lot of games to play, but we need to focus on the next one and to get the best level out of everybody to grow in the weeks to come.

"We could have had at least five, six points more now but it's not the case.

“So, it's about the next game, for sure.

"I saw a big step up from Bolton in this game and these are the basics that we need to keep and then the other things will follow."
