Goalscorer Millie Daviss felt Norwich City Women's victory over Luton Town was a game of two halves but was ultimately pleased with the result.
"It was a tricky game. I think we had a game plan. At times we executed it well, at other times we probably could have done a bit better in certain situations.
"Luton were really good side, they compete well and we let them into the game in the second half. Obviously they got their goal, but I think we took our two goals well and had a bit of momentum in the first half, second half maybe not so much."
"I think we maybe dropped off a little bit. We probably had, in the first half, a bit more possession of the ball and kept it a little bit more.
"In the second half we gave them a few chances and you know teams will punish us when that happens so we have to just be prepared.
"We always have to be switched on, can't get complacent and try to be unbeatable which is always the plan but we've got the three points and we're happy with that."
Daviss opened the scoring at Sharpenhoe Road with her first goal of the season.
"It was a really good bit of play down the right side and obviously, as left back today, I decided to make a run into the box and it was really good to get on the score sheet.
"I think it was a first time finish which was good for me so I was happy with it. It's always good to get on the scoresheet, I don't do that often so it's nice to get one."
City's thoughts now turn to league action on Sunday when Boldmere St Michaels visit The Nest.
"We'll look at Boldmere and look at ourselves, have a think about what the best way to win that game will be. So we just need to prepare in the best way possible, have a good intense training week. We're all on the same page with that. We know our intensity in training is excellent and we just have to continue pushing, working for each other, continue to push each other and hopefully we get the result that we want on Sunday."
