Head coach Perry Northeast felt Norwich City Women's draw away Middlesbrough on Sunday was a fair result.
"As with every game this season, highly competitive, highly physical. Both teams at different points of the game being a threat to the opponent and no doubt Middlesbrough will feel that they were good value for the point today and I think we were as well.
"It's always very difficult to come away from home against a side who are probably not in their correct league position right now and try and obtain that result because they were clearly hurting from last week's result.
"However, having said that, we produced some nice passages of play at times and when you go 1-0 up early in a game like that, away from home, it can be difficult. To come away here with a point today, I think it will be something that both teams will feel is fair."
Both sides battled hard for a late winner but couldn't find the finishing touch.
"The game in the second half became very open, very transitional. Both teams were looking to try and attack the game and achieve three points. And with that in mind, you must give credit to both teams.
"Neither team were sitting in and banking up for a draw. So that in turn makes the game transitional. The substitutes we made today were also made with the sense of becoming attacking threats, which they were with lots of speed on the highest line.
"So, yes, a fair result and very transitional, but a good learning for us is how we can control those moments and continue to control the game when we are 1-0 up away from home."
The draw was Northeast's side's fourth of the season in the FAWNL Northern Premier Division with the head coach pleased they are difficult to beat. He said: "We have a set of principles with and without the ball that hopefully help as guiding tools in real hard situations and in difficult moments and that happened again today.
"When we talk about oppositions throwing in early deliveries, we know our box shape and structure has to be good and it was on the whole today. We got caught out once from quite a direct transitional passage. But yeah, overall, we're happy with how we're operating defensively."
City welcome West Bromwich Albion to The Nest on Sunday as they aim to build on this point.
"West Brom will be another tough game. They're picking up points like most teams in the league. We'll take the trip home now, reflect, review, train hard again this week as we did last week and look forward to the game coming up."
