Mohamed Touré has been named Norwich City’s Player of the Month for September following a public vote.

The striker continued his goalscoring form throughout September, finding the net against Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Bolton Wanderers to take his tally to five goals in the opening seven games of the season.

Since joining the Canaries from Danish Superliga side Randers in January, the Australian has contributed to 20 goals in his first 21 appearances in yellow and green, scoring 16 times and providing four assists.

Touré opened his September account at Bramall Lane, scoring the second goal in City’s 3-1 victory over Sheffield United. He then struck inside the opening minute of the defeat at Middlesbrough a week later.

The Australian international rounded off the month with another goal against Bolton Wanderers in the Canaries’ final outing before the extended international break.
