Sunday's hosts were 3-2 winners against Loughborough Lightning in their opening day fixture on the road.

Lightning took the lead in the first half before Sian Gibrill-Keating pulled one back for the Tigresses.

Ellie Tanser put the visitors in front for the first time before the home side levelled the scores ten minutes later.

With 15 minutes to play, Helen Lynskey found the winner and helped her side to all three points.

The Yorkshire side have had a busy summer of recruitment, appointing a new first team manager in Joel Drewery.

The club went on to make five new signings, four of which joined the Tigresses from Tier 4 side Leeds United (Macy Ellis, Izzy Elliot, Paige Williams and Sian Gibrill-Keating).

Hull City also announced the signing of Chelsea Callander from Middlesbrough.

It was a positive pre-season for Drewery's side, with wins against Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United, Thornaby and Bradford.

The 2025/26 campaign was about establishing a place in Tier 3 for the Tigresses, as they finished four points above the relegation zone in 9th.

Hope Knight was the club's top goal scorer with 21 to her name. After four seasons with the club, she concluded her time as a Tigress, signing for York City in July.
