Norwich City Women are on the road again this weekend for the second group stage tie of the FAWNL League Cup.
The Canaries travel to Sharpenhoe Road on Sunday, September 6 (KO 2pm) to face Tier 4 side Luton Town.
Perry Northeast's side go into the game off the back of a 1-0 loss to Rugby Borough in a Northern Premier Division tie last weekend; the club's first defeat of the season.
City began their League Cup group stage with a win and three points against Cambridge United under the lights last week.
After initially going behind on the night, Issy Moore levelled the scores before the break and Lauren Hailes netted the winner in the second half.
The Opposition
Sunday's hosts will be familiar opposition to the Canaries, having been Division One South East rivals last season.
Town have started their 2026/27 league campaign steadily with two narrow losses and a draw last weekend against newly promoted side Dartford.
Their opening FAWNL Cup tie saw them host Stevenage at home in a 3-2 defeat.
The Hatters went in at the break 3-0 down but managed to pull two back in two minutes, the goals coming from Billie Brooks and Lisa Milliken.
Last Time Out
Throughout their maiden season in Tier 4 following promotion in 2024/25, the Hatters settled into Division South East well, finishing the season comfortably in seventh.
The last time these two sides met was in January earlier this year at Town's home of Barton Rovers.
City took the lead in the 24th minute through Faith Harrison for her first goal since signing from AFC Sudbury the month prior.
After a tricky 60 minutes that followed in treacherous conditions, Shianne Swarres found an equaliser for the hosts with only three minutes left on the clock.
The points were shared in a frustrating performance for the Yellows, who were still pushing for automatic promotion.
