Norwich City Women begin their 2026/27 campaign in the Northern Premier Division with a home tie against Huddersfield Town Women.
The match will take place at The Nest on Sunday, August 16 in a 2pm kick-off.
Perry Northeast's side go into the game off the back of an unbeaten pre-season, having picked up wins against Tier 4 sides London Bees and Actonians.
They also managed 45 minutes against Wroxham that was 2-0 to City before the game was abandoned due to floodlight failure.
The Canaries have announced nine new additions to the squad, with four new goalkeepers in Poppy Irvine, Eva-Jean Young, Megan Frary and Abi Calvert.
The defensive unit was bolstered with full-backs Zofia Szczech and Natalie Johnson.
Forward Elliana Martin put pen to paper from Brighton and Hove Albion next as well as loan signings Niyah Dunbar and Bryony Brodie.
The Opposition
Much like City, the Terriers enjoyed a hugely successful season and achieved promotion from Tier 3.
The Division One North champions won their league after 16 wins and two draws. Glen Preston’s side only suffered three defeats all season.
Their biggest win came in April over a struggling Blackburn Rovers side, Town running out 9-1 winners on the road.
Louise Biggins was the club’s top scorer for the season, netting 16 times.
Huddersfield’s stopper Bethan Davies was awarded the FAWNL Golden Glove winner for Division One North with 15 clean sheets for the season.
Town have had a busy summer of new signings, with three new additions to the squad so far.
Tamira Livingston was first through the door, signing a permanent contract after initially joining on loan from Manchester United.
Another loanee making things official was Jess Lightfoot, who made the switch from Everton.
Forward Aimee Kelly was then announced next, signing from WSL 2 side Burnley.
