Norwich City Women host Peterborough United Women in the first round of the FAWNL League Cup this Sunday.
That match takes place at The Nest in a 2pm kick-off.
City progressed to the first round of the competition after topping Group G with three wins out of three, beating Tier 4 sides Cambridge United, Luton Town and Stevenage.
The Opposition
Having hosted the Canaries just four days ago in the Northern Premier Division, Posh will likely arrive to Norfolk hopeful of bettering the Canaries this time round.
Jake Poole’s side finished their FAWNL Cup group stage with a second-place finish in Group L, three points behind Rugby Borough.
They kicked off the competition with a 6-0 win over Notts County as Lauren Wilshaw was on target twice to seal an emphatic victory on home turf.
The following outing was a much tougher tie as they visited league-leaders Rugby Borough.
Despite a valiant effort on the road, Borough were 7-0 winners on the day.
Determined to put the result behind them, the Blue’s bounced back quickly as they themselves put seven past Leicester City Under-21s the following month. Ellie May bagged a brace this time, netting her first inside one minute.
