Norwich City Women travel to face Rugby Borough this Sunday in their next Northern Premier Division tie. 

Perry Northeast’s side won their previous league fixture on the road against Hull City last weekend.

Following the 2-0 victory, the Canaries now sit fourth in the table. 

The tie will take place at the Nationwide Windows Arena on Sunday, August 30 in a 3pm kick-off.  

The Canaries also go into the game off the back of a mid-week FAWNL Cup clash against Cambridge United, where they were 2-1 winners at The Nest.

The Opposition 

Rugby Borough started their 2026/27 campaign with back-to-back wins, first hosting Peterborough United in their opening game where they secured a 5-0 thrashing.  

Mai Moncaster and Malika Gille put Rugby four up in the first half, scoring two each.  

The fifth goal came from Eve Clarkson in the 64th minute. 

Borough then travelled to face Derby County on the road.

After a goalless first half, Ebony Wiseman put the visitors in front with 23 minutes left on the clock. 

Rugby sit in second, joint on points and goal difference with Stoke City.

Borough then dispatched Leicester City's PGA side 10-0 in an emphatic victory on Tuesday evening in the first of their FAWNL Cup group stage games. 

Summer signings
 
Sunday's hosts have added several new players to their squad ahead of their 2026/27 campaign. 
 
Defender Ria Acton, from Sporting Khalsa, is their latest addition to the squad, alongside goalkeeper Millie Crook who joins from Manchester United. 

Borough also announced eight new contracts for existing players over the summer.
