Norwich City Women began life in Tier 3 with a point at home to Huddersfield Town Women at The Nest, in a game that finished 1-1.
After the visitors took the lead in the second half, Issy Moore was on target for the equaliser.
There were three debuts to be made, with Eva-Jean Young starting between the sticks, Natalie Johnson at left-back and Niyah Bunbar leading the line up top.
Straight into the the action, Moore did well to keep the ball alive with a leaping header down the right flank and found Poppy Groves, who attempted a goalward chip but Huddersfield's Bethan Davies collected before Dunbar could get a touch.
Town's Rhema Lord-Mears had the visitors' first chance at goal, standing over a free-kick that was fired way above Young's goal.
Louise Biggins nearly put Huddersfield in front after the first threatening attack from Town as she put an effort from close-range over the bar.
Young was then required to be alert and make the first real save of the game, denying Huddersfield at point-blank range.
City once again showed promising signs on the right wing as Moore again found Groves but her effort was blocked in the area.
Dunbar tried to get in on the action next as she rose highest to a Freya Symonds corner but couldn't find the target in the area.
A brilliant ball over the top from Eloise King reached Dunbar on a Norwich City counter-attack, which allowed Holly Kennard to shoot from the edge of the area, only missing the target by inches.
City opened the second half with increased energy and were first to get a shot at goal.
Kennard raced down her left wing and eventually found Johnson in a position to shoot, her strike fizzing just high of the bar.
It was Huddersfield who eventually broke the deadlock through Rebecca Beresford, whose strike was fired beyond Young.
Johnson used her precision to try to level the scores shortly after and found Moore waiting in the area, but she had taken too heavy a touch and put the ball over the bar.
It took less than ten minutes for the scores to be levelled, as Moore was set up by King to slot home from close-range.
Symonds then forced Town stopper Davies into a fingertip save with an effort from distance.
Substitute Lauren Hailes was denied with a strong block from the visitors in the six-yard block in her first action of the game.
City continued to push for the winner until the final whistle but were unable to find the back of the net for a second time and they had to settle for a point.
The Canaries are next in action away to Hull City on Sunday, August 23.
